有一天，更羸和魏王站在一个高台上,仰头看见有鸟在天空中飞。
yǒu yī tiān,gèng léi hé wèi wáng zhàn zài yī gè gāo tái shang,yǎng tóu kàn jiàn yǒu niǎo zài tiān kōng zhōng fēi。
Majesty, please see that I can shoot down a bird by drawing my bow without firing arrows.
更羸对魏王说:请大王看看，我可以只拉弓不发箭而把鸟射下来。
gèng léi duì wèi wàng shuō:"qǐng dà wáng kàn kàn,wǒ kě yǐ zhǐ lā gōng bù fà jiàn ér bǎ niǎo shè xià lái。”
The king of Wei said incredulously: "Can your archery reach such a high level?
魏王不相信地说:难道你的射术可以达到这样的水平吗?
wèi wàng bù xiāng xìn de shuō：”nán dào nǐ de shè shù kě yǐ dá dào zhè yàng de shuǐ píng ma ?”
Geng Lei said confidently, 'Yes.'
更羸很自信地说:可以。
gèng léi hěn zì xìn de shuō : kě yǐ 。
After a while, a wild goose flew in from the east. Geng Lei picked up the bow and pulled the empty string.
过了一小会儿，一只雁从东方飞来,更羸拿起弓拉了一下空弦，
guò le yī xiǎo huì er,yī zhǐ yàn cóng dōng fāng fēi lái,gèng léi ná qǐ gōng lā le yī xià kōng xián，
The goose suddenly fell to the ground.
那只雁就一下子栽落到地上。
nà zhǐ yàn jiù yī xià zi zāi luò dào dì shang。
The king of Wei marveled, "The skill of archery can actually reach such a state!
魏王惊叹说:射箭的本领居然可以达到这样一种地步!
wèi wàng jīng tàn shuō : shè jiàn de běn lǐng jū rán kě yǐ dá dào zhè yàng yī zhǒng dì bù!
Geng Lei said, "This is a wounded fox goose! The king of Wei said, "How do you know this?
更羸说:这是一只受伤的狐雁啊!魏王说:先生是怎么知道的呢?
gèng léi shuō : zhè shì yī zhǐ shòu shāng de hú yàn a!wèi wàng shuō : xiān sheng shì zěn me zhī dao de ne?
Geng Lei replied, 'It flew very slowly and its cry was tragic.
更羸回答说:它飞得很缓慢，叫声很悲惨。
gèng léi huí dá shuō : tā fēi de hěn huǎn màn, jiào shēng hěn bēi cǎn。
Fly slowly, because the old wound pain; It's sad because I've been out of the crowd for so long.
飞得慢, 是因为旧伤疼痛;叫得惨，是因为长久失群。
fēi de màn,shì yīn wèi jiù shāng téng tòng,jiào de cǎn,shì yīn wèi cháng jiǔ shī qún。
