YCT Speaking Prep Lessons (Beginner Level)

  • Designed for learners who have just started learning Chinese or have a shallow foundation in Chinese. They hope to improve their Chinese speaking ability through a systematic course and prepare for future YCT exams.
  • You will accquire about 200 common words and phrases.
  • After you finish this level, you will be able to master basic Chinese pronunciation, pinyin and vocabulary. They will be able to engage in simple daily conversations and describe their family, friends, hobbies, etc.

I. Test Content

The YCT speaking test (Beginner level) is divided into three parts, with a total of 25 questions.

The entire exam takes about 17 minutes (including 7 minutes of preparation time).

Part I consists of 15 questions. Each question plays a question, and the candidate gives a brief answer after listening.

Part II consists of 5 questions. For each question, the recording of a question will be played, the candidate should give a short answer after listening.

Part III consists of 5 questions. Each question provides a picture, and the candidate speaks two to three sentences in conjunction with the picture.

II. Score Report

The YCT speaking test ( level) has a full score of 100 points, with 60 points being the passing score.
